Así, es posible encontrar SAI en centros informáticos, nodos de telecomunicaciones, hospitales, aeropuertos, en las instalaciones de control de procesos industriales o en cualquier instalación en la que un fallo o defecto en el suministro eléctrico pueda provocar daños en el proceso.

En esta obra se muestra una visión general de los mencionados equipos. En efecto, se describe cada una de las partes que los componen con el objetivo de que el lector pueda conocer su funcionamiento y sus características más importantes. También se presentan las diversas configuraciones disponibles basadas en equipos unimodulares, modulares y en paralelo, sus ventajas y sus inconvenientes, y se ofrece un análisis de su fiabilidad.

Además se tratan aspectos como el dimensionado y el cálculo de instalaciones, la ubicación, la supervisión remota, etc., y se incluyen ejemplos prácticos para su correcta realización.

Por ello esta obra resulta interesante tanto para ingenieros que deban incluir dichos equipos en sus proyectos como para usuarios finales que necesiten incorporarlos en sus instalaciones o renovar los existentes, además de para cualquier profesional interesado en conocer su funcionamiento.
